Here in the Valencia community, we believe sustainability starts at home, and we’re proud to be a neighborhood where green living isn’t just an idea, it’s a way of life. Our neighborhood is designed for the future and for residents who care about the Earth.
This year, we’re excited to participate in Valencia’s Earth Day Celebration.
- Where: The Porch: 27426 Navigation Ave
- When: April 26th, 2025
- 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
- What: food, hands-on activities, giveaways, and the chance to connect with sustainable transportation partners that help reduce our carbon footprint.
- Santa Clarita Transit will be on-site with a full-size bus, giving families the chance to hop on, explore, and ask questions about routes and services.
- Metrolink will be there to share info on rail options and regional connections.
- SCV Carts will showcase neighborhood electric vehicles (NEVs), the ultimate way to cruise Valencia in style. We’re all about sustainable cruising, so we’re bringing Ebikes too – because we believe in rides that are as exciting as they are eco-friendly.
- Trek will be showing off their e-bikes and able to answer questions about riding and purchasing an e-bike.
- VALENCIA GO will be giving away fun items for all and answering questions about transportation subsidies and plans for the future of the neighborhood.
In addition to all the fun, this event is also a great opportunity to learn more about the school bus routes in our area, including the following routes:
- Westfield Valencia Town Center, College of the Canyons and more on routes 3 and 7
- Rancho Pico Junior High School on route 635
- West Ranch High School on route 635
- And more! Santa Clarita Transit has supplemental school schedules for 13 schools in the area. See if your child’s school is on the list!
These routes make it easy for students to safely get to and from school and offer a great starting point for families to get comfortable using the bus system together. It’s a convenient, family-friendly way to build lifelong habits around shared transportation and sustainability. We encourage all families to come to the event and check out the Santa Clarita Transit bus on-site to explore how you and your kids can get to school by bus!
